Services and pricing

Clear help, clear prices

Pick one service, a few hours, or a package. If you need less than you think, I'll tell you.

Every family comes in with different needs. Some want help with one essay. Others want someone beside them from junior year through senior fall. Here's everything I offer, with the price next to it.

Single services

Resume and Activities Package

$225
We start by gathering everything your student does: clubs, sports, jobs, volunteering, family responsibilities, and the projects they do on their own. Then we turn it into three pieces.
  • A one-page resume for college admissions, scholarship applications, and summer programs, plus a copy your student can hand to the teachers writing their recommendation letters.
  • An expanded resume, added if a college prefers that format, with room for more detail than one page allows.
  • An activities list that shows, not just tells. The Common App has room for only 10 activities and 5 honors, so what goes first matters. I'll help your student decide which activities lead, and coach them on writing descriptions that show how they contributed: what they led, started, organized, or improved, with real numbers where they exist.
For example, instead of “Member, Key Club,” a line might read “Organized three canned food drives that collected 1,200 pounds for a local food bank.”

College list

$125
A balanced list of up to 10 safety, target, and reach schools, with each school's average GPA, SAT scores, and admission deadlines. Then we meet and walk through it together.

Essay coaching

$75 / hour
Brainstorming, outlining, and honest feedback on the main essay and short-answer questions. Your student writes every word. Final essay drafts are due at least 72 hours before each application deadline.

Other hourly help

$75 / hour
The same rate for anything besides essays: a final look at an application, a question about deadlines, or help getting unstuck.

What we do and don't do

We coach. The student writes.

I do

Help students brainstorm, plan, organize, and revise. I give honest feedback, coach, and keep everyone on schedule.

I don't

Write essays or any part of an application. I don't offer test tutoring or help with the FAFSA or CSS Profile.

No one can

Promise an admission. My job is to help your student turn in an application that's complete, on time, and truly their own.

How payment works

The Junior Year to Senior Year Package is paid in two parts: half when your student starts, and half in June, at the beginning of senior year.

The Senior Year Package is paid in two parts: half when your student starts, and half 30 days later. Rush add-on: $500 if your student's first application deadline is less than 3 weeks away when we start.

Single services and hourly help are invoiced when we schedule them.

Final essay drafts are due at least 72 hours before each application deadline.

If you need to cancel, I'll refund the pro-rated portion of any prepaid service I haven't delivered yet. Meetings already held and work already completed aren't refundable.

Questions families ask

Can you guarantee my student gets in?

No, and no one honestly can. Admission decisions belong to colleges. My job is to help your student turn in an application that's complete, on time, and truly their own.

Do you write the essays?

No. We coach, the student writes. I help with brainstorming, organizing ideas, and honest feedback. Every word is your student's.

When should we start?

I work with juniors and seniors. Junior year is the best time to start, with the Junior Year to Senior Year Package ($850). Students starting in June of senior year or later can choose the Senior Year Package ($1,000).

Do you meet in person or online?

Both. I meet San Antonio families at a library or coffee shop, and I work online with families anywhere.

Do you offer a free consultation?

Yes. Send an inquiry, and I'll set up a free 15 to 20 minute call to talk about your student's grade, goals, and what feels hardest right now. There's no pressure to sign up.

Do you help with test prep or financial aid forms?

No. I don't offer test tutoring or help with the FAFSA or CSS Profile. I'm happy to talk about testing timelines as part of planning.

Is there a payment plan?

Yes. Both packages are paid in two parts. For the Junior Year to Senior Year Package: half when your student starts, and half in June, at the beginning of senior year. For the Senior Year Package: half when your student starts, and half 30 days later.

Is there a deadline for essays?

Yes. Final essay drafts are due at least 72 hours before each application deadline. That gives us time for a careful final review. If your student needs help with a deadline that's less than 3 weeks away, ask about rush support.

What if my student only needs help with one thing?

That's fine. You can book a single service, like the college list, or pay by the hour at $75. You only pay for what you need.
